JERSEY ClTY – Mayor Glenn D. Cunningham will honor the National
Adoption Month Program, which celebrated November as NationaT
Adoption Month at a 2 p.m. ceremony in City Hall Council Chambers 6n
Tuesday, December 9, 2003.
Cunningham, who will present the organization with a proclamation,
stressed the importance adoption can play in a child's life and
families to consider adopting older children.
"A child needs a strong family and a strdng foundation, especially children
growing up in the inner city," Cunningham said. "When adopting, we should
not forget about older children who may still need parents and guidance."
