JERSEY CITY - Mayor Glenn D. Cunningham will host a welcoming reception for the
Morgan Lighthouse, a new 10-story housing development in Downtown Jersey City at
11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 5, 2004 at 143 Morgan Street.
The development, which consists of 40 units of market-rate housing, is set to open by
mid-summer and is a mix of 1 bedroom, two bedroom and three-bedroom units.
"The Morgan Lighthouse is a great addition to this area and provides new housing
opportunities for the waterfront community," Cunningham said. "As more and more
institutions relocate or set up shop in Jersey City, it is necessary to offer more housing
choices."
In addition to onsite parking and being within walking distance to both the Exchange
Place and the Grove Street PATH stations, the Morgan Lighthouse - being developed by
Aram Tarpinian, of Hoboken, is just a short distance from the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail
and the NY Waterway ferry terminal. The project also offers spectacular river and
Manhattan skyline views.//////
