JERSEY CITY - Mayor Glenn D. Cunningham will attend a ground breaking for a
$630,000 atTordable housing development being built on Old Bergen Road at 10 a.m.
on Wednesday, March 24, 2004.
The development, which consists of five permanent homes, was made possible through a
grant by the City of Jersey City to the Jersey City Episcopal Community Development
Corporation, which is building the homes.
All families who purchase any of the units, located at the intersection of Seaview Avenue,
will be required to meet the eligibility standards as defined by the HOME & HOP WA
programs through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
"This is an example of community organizations working to bring affordable housing to
the residents of Jersey City and help them realize the dream of being a home-owner,"
Cunningham said. "By helping people own homes, we are investing in the community
and in our Golden Neighborhoods."
