JERSEY CITY Mayor Glenn D. Cunningham will name the first Hispanic woman, Wanda Molina, as Municipal Court Director at a 12 noon press conference on Friday, October 31, 2003 at the Municipal Court at 365 Summit Avenue.
Ms. Molina has a lengthy experience in both Jersey City Municipal Court and state Superior Court, serving as both a prosecutor and public defender. Ms. Molina's knowledge of the law covers both criminal and civil, and extends into such areas as family law, as well.
"Wanda's experience as an attorney with a wide range of expertise make her the perfect candidate for director of Municipal Court" Cunningham said. "She comes to the position with a deep understanding of both the justice system and the people involved in it."
In addition to Jersey City and Hudson County, Molina has served as a public defender in Newark, Secaucus, Essex County and Union County.
