JERSEY CITY-Mayor Glenn D. Cunningham will welcome new fire department recruits into academy, including first two women in the history of the Jersey City Fire Department, 9:30 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2003 at Caven Point Training Facility.
Established in 1871, two women will enter the JCFD academy for the first time in its 132-year history. Cunningham will address the 50 new recruits.
