JERSEY CITY - Mayor Glenn D. Cunningham will present Lieutenant Colonel
Thomas Engleke of the United States Marine Corps with a proclamation for his
service in Iraq at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 28th during a ceremony in the Mayor's Office at City Hall, 280 Grove
Street.
Engleke, who is also a 10-year-veteran of the Jersey City Police Department, is a
member of the department's Motorcycle Squad.
"We are lucky to have such a dedicated person protecting our city every day," said
Cunningham, himself a former Marine and Jersey City Police Officer. "And the
people of this country an the world are fortunate to have a man like Officer
Engleke fighting for their freedom."
