Pursuant to resolution, adopted by the Municipal Court of the city of Jersey City, New Jersey on June 1 st., 1971 ... Take notice that the undersigned shall expose for sale in accordance with n.j.r.s.39:10-et.seq., (approved may 22.1964 effective sixty days thereafter) at public auction on Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at 10:00 am, at the Jersey City Incinerator Authority, 501 route 440, Jersey City, New Jersey 07305. Vehicles may be inspected at the Jersey City Police car pound, east end of Communipaw Avenue, foot of Phillips Street on Monday, July 14, 2003 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.the below described motor vehicles which came into the possession of the police department of the city of Jersey City through the abandonment or failure of owners to claim same and other vehicles.
Take further notice, all vehicles are in a used condition, may be operable, parts may be missing and repairs may be required.
Also, defects other than those exposed to view may exist. Property is offered as is, successful bidder of vehicles(s) must return license plates to the main office before removing the vehicle(s) from police car pound. Minimum bid shall start at seventy-five dollars ($75.00) for each vehicle being auctioned individually with ten dollar ($10.00) increments. Minimum bulk bid shall be fifty dollars ($50.00) per vehicle. However, the purchasing agent may accept a lesser sum at his discretion. In addition to the amount bid by the successful bidder an additional fee of two dollars ($2.00) for a junk title certificate shall be charged for each vehicle being auctioned.
